Health Actions
Objective
Create an experience that allows a user to easily complete Health Actions, schedule appointments, and view an appointment checklist.
Problem
Users receive Health Actions from their health insurance plan. Completing these objectives earns them rewards. The Health Actions mostly focus on preventive care and regular doctor visits. There were a few additional problems to help solve: missed appointments, not knowing what to ask the doctor during an appointment, and not understanding the importance of completing a Health Action.
Approach
To help improve the Health Action completion rate, I created an experience that makes it very clear what the user must do, and what is in it for them if they do it. I also created additional opportunities to help a user not miss their appointment, easily access a set of questions to ask their doctor, and the ability to view all personal history related to this Health Action. Another common issue is not knowing when you last got a vaccination or saw a doctor or took a certain medication. All of that information resides in your personal health record within the app.
